Lovers in Paris - Day 1 | November 9, 2014

around 2:30pm and was able to check into our hotel (Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel) early and rested before we headed out for our Eiffel Tower tour and dinner.
We got ready after and hour and headed out at 4:30pm to start getting in line for the Eiffel Tower. It was a long, I mean a really long line. We stood in line for about 1 hour (it felt a lot longer)! By the time we got up to the 2nd floor of the tower, the sun had just set. It was beautiful. I couldn't believe I was standing inside the tower that Ive only ever dreamed of seeing in person! While we were up there, light started to flicker! I thought it was fireworks and John was all "Look up! The tower is blinking!" I guess it does that every hour. Pretty amazing!
After the tower tour, we headed off to dinner. We did a little sigh seeing first before arriving at our dinner destination. John chose Cafe Constante. It was a bit pricy for what was offered to us. Definitely not the American portion we were used to. It was yummy, but it definitely did not fill me up. Lol! After dinner, we wandered off to the carousels to get some night shots of the tower from afar. I swear it felt so surreal. The entire trip felt surreal. We decided to call it a day earlier than expected cuz we were both exhausted from the travel. Luckily, our hotel was a 5-8 minute walk from the tower! I loved it!
