It's been a little over a month since our trip! Im having major Europe withdrawals!!! Okay, you're probably wondering why we decided to spend our first day at the WB Studios: Making of Harry Potter?! John grew up
to reading the books and we both loved the movies so what better way to experience Harry Potter than at the actual studio where it was filmed?!
We decided to go ahead and knock it out of the way as soon as we arrived in London because we knew we'd have been traveling for an entire day so we didn't want to do any sight seeing. We flew in to Paris and arrived early in the morning, and then took a 2hr train ride to London's St. Pancras Station. So it has been a long day of traveling and running on 4 hours of sleep (plus the occasional naps during the flight and train ride). We were pretty exhausted on this first day. Luckily our hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. We chose to stay at the Studio2Let Apartments/Hotels because 1. it was in our budget 2. it was close to the major train stations and undergrounds. 3. Walking distance to food and cafes. So it was perfect. Before the the Harry Potter tour, we walked to Kings cross station where Platform 9 3/4 was at to get our photos taken! I heard theres usually a long line, but luckily it wasnt too bad!

The Harry Potter Studio was a 25 minute train ride out side of London, and another 15 minute bus ride to Leavesden or Watford Junction. We spent a good 3.5 hours exploring the studio!
It was pretty awesome to be able to walk where the film was made and to see all of the costumes and rooms and the souvenir shop! My sister woulda freaked!! (Shes the biggest harry potter fan I know!)

My favorite part of the tour was seeing the actual Hogwarts model used for the movie and being able to get on the green screen and fly the Nimbus 2000! It was awesome!! Also being able to try Butter Beer! Its an acquired taste and not everyone will love it, but we liked it! The best part, a free souvenir mug!
After the tour, we went around and bought some souvenirs for us to keep, for my sister and my good friend, Chi! Then we headed back to our hotel. We were so exhausted by the end of this trip that I was trying hard to fight my sleepyness on the train because I didnt want us to miss our stop!
