We started our day off with brunch at Angelinas (it was recommended by my cousin, as well as the "Paris" book we had). It did not disappoint! The salmon meal I had
After three and a half days in London, we made our way back to Paris via train (Picture above in front of the sign was taken when we first landed in Paris via plane). We arrived in Paris
After having seen all the major attractions of London, we went ahead and checked out some of the beautiful parks! First stop was Regent Park. It was a nice sunny morning and
We tried to get an early start on the second day. We were up and out by 9:30am and our first stop was Buckingham Palace. We got there just in time for the Changing of the Guards. It was cool to see, but I dont think i would stand and do it again in the future. I got squished
It's been a little over a month since our trip! Im having major Europe withdrawals!!! Okay, you're probably wondering why we decided to spend our first day at the WB Studios: Making of Harry Potter?! John grew up
I told you it wouldn't be the last time I posted about NYC! This past summer, after our trip to the west coast, my sister came and visited us in Virginia for 3 weeks. I think she's making this a yearly tradition! Haa! Anyway, we took her to New York this time because she hasn't gone since 2008, so we went the weekend John didn't have work. This trip had many firsts. We got to do things we havent done. We finally went up to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. It totally reminded me of one of my favorite shows, Gossip Girl! Lol!
We haven't gone home to visit in 2.5 years and boy did it feel good to be back, even for a short period of time (wished it was longer though!) I didnt take too many pictures while we were home, but these are some that was snapped.
We drove from Vegas to San Diego and on the way to SD, we stopped by LA to visit LACMA. I wanted to check out the Urban Lights and get some Macaron Ice Cream sandwich at MILK! (Thai Tea flavor was delicious!). It was a really quick stop before we headed to San Diego.
Who would have thought that we'd end up in Salt Lake City, UT!? Neither did we. But we had to fly out for my college graduation (along with my family) a few weeks ago.
This was a spontaneous day trip to Richmond. We woke up wanting to go somewhere. I picked up my phone went on yelp, and it was the first thing that popped up. So off we went. This place was nice and relaxing. The mansion that sits on top of their 100-acre land was beautiful, scary looking at first, but beautiful. We recommend it to those visiting Richmond!
New York City once again. Some of our closest friends here in Virginia is headed back home to San Diego (they got relocated back home, lucky!) So we accompanied them to NYC because a few of them haven't gone yet. Im sure this won't be the last time I post about NYC! ;)
Here's a video from our trip to Boracay! The water activities were so fun, mainly because we got to experience them with my whole family plus relatives! What better way to spend the new year, right?
This was an amazing trip we spent with 30 of my family members. From Aunts to Uncles and cousins and nephews. We did a few water sports adventures as well as land adventures: banana boat, island tour, snorkeling, fly fish, ATV, and then we climbed up 50 steps to one of the highest peaks of the island and was able to see an amazing panoramic view! Next time, we definitely want to check out Palawan! We didnt take much pictures cuz we mainly used the GoPro, so i'll post a video in another post.
Its been a long time comin! The trip to Philippines finally happened after 3 years of planning for the family reunion!! The pictures below are from my parents hometown. I was thrilled to finally be able to take John with me to a trip to the motherland! It was amazing being able to be with family. He finally met the rest of my family in the Philippines! Definitely not our last. We’ll be back again soon! This specific location is called Pundakit, one of the famous beaches in Zambales.
This was John's birthday surprise for me! I had no idea what we were doing. He was full of surprises that week. First dinner, then the batting cages, and then the weekend of my birthday we went parasailing! Another thing crossed off our bucket list! I was terrified at first, but a few minutes after we got all the way up, I started to enjoy the view! I couldn't believe I was that high up in the air! It was so fun! I wanna do it in Hawaii someday!
This trip was for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. We decided instead of buying each other things, we'd spend it on a get away. So after Luray Caverns, we stayed the night in Charlottesville so that we can explore the city some more. Charlottesville is where UVA is located at (University of Virginia). The campus is definitely something I wasn't used to seeing. A pretty campus indeed! John & I went wine tasting at Jefferson’s Vineyard, then headed off to Monticello the following day before heading back home.
On the drive up to Monticello! Thomas Jefferson's home. It was neat being able to go inside his house and his property. The house, compared to today's standards, wasnt the biggest, but Im sure back in the day it was a mansion! I imagined how life was like back in his days, no cars, travel by horses. Oh boy! The property was pretty and there was a farm and all these other agriculture related things. It started pouring for a good 15 minutes so we were stuck inside one of the little house around the property, before catching the bus back to the visitor center.
The caverns were breathe taking! I thought I’d feel claustrophobic in there, but it was surprisingly very big and spacious! The drive to Luray was like driving to nowheresville! Lol! I loved the drive through the Shenandoah Valley, but after that I just went to sleep.
And then toward the end, there were these wishing wells where a bunch of people had already thrown coins in.
It was a little chilly when we got down to the caverns! It was about a 2 hour tour of the entire cavern. The waters were so still, they looked like mirrors with the way the cavern was reflecting off of them! So beautiful! There was an organ/piano in the middle of the caverns and it started playing music. Pretty neat!! We didnt get to capture much pictures because we didnt realize that the memory card was full! Lesson learned, always check the memory cards and batteries!
